Calendar
Monthly Schedule
The
rules, as written, use the modern calendar but dividing the month into 4
notional weeks.
For
extra flavour we will use the Roman names, from the Julian calendar, and divide
the months into three notional periods; beginning on the kalends, nones and ides of each month.
Months of the year: Ianuarius,
Februarius, Martius, Aprilis, Maius, Iunius, Iulius, Augustus, September,
October, November, December
Schedule:
Period beginning Kalends: Ludus administration (including death
pit matches)
Period beginning Nones: Local
events
Period beginning Ides: Regional
events
(On
a roll of 9 or 10 on a D10 there is a special event instead of the regional
events)
Festivals:
Ianuarius - Vota
Publica (New Consuls take office, citizens make public Vows for the
well-being of the Emperor and Republic)
Maius - Lemuria
(Festival of the Dead)
September - Ludi
Romani (in honour of Jupiter)
November - Ludi
Plebeii (celebrates the citizens of Rome)
